WHAT’S NEW?
SmartPlot V1.65 release
SmartPlot 1.65 focuses on reliable editing and export: editable SVG/PPT output, richer peak-fit tables, movable inset zooms, 500k-row data input, and Bruker RAW import.
SVG exports are steadier when edited in PowerPoint
V1.65 continues the export cleanup so SVG output keeps chart geometry, text scale, and line weights closer to the SmartPlot canvas when opened and ungrouped in PowerPoint.
- Single figures and group figures now share the same SVG sizing logic for axes, data lines, legends, and text.
- PowerPoint ungroup editing is more stable for common scientific figures, including multi-panel layouts.
- Legacy projects and templates keep their intended visual weights when reopened under the newer stroke-width semantics.

Peak fitting now writes the parameters researchers need
Peak fitting workflows now generate clearer output tables with peak width, height, area, and area ratio, making fitted XPS and spectroscopy figures easier to report.
- Fit result tables include FWHM, peak height, integrated area, and area percentage.
- Generated peak-fit tables keep numeric columns editable for downstream calculation and export.
- Baseline, corrected data, residuals, fitted components, and output parameters stay connected to the same analysis workflow.

Inset zoom is directly editable on the canvas
Local zoom is no longer limited to inspector fields. The main selection region can be moved and resized directly, and the inset can show only the curves the user wants to compare.
- Drag the source selection box to change the magnified X/Y range visually.
- Resize the selection box from the canvas while keeping inspector inputs available for exact values.
- Choose which data series appear inside the inset; all series are selected by default.

Large files and Bruker RAW import are easier to test
Data input is steadier for large tables, with current workflows targeting files up to 500,000 rows, and the import dialog now recognizes Bruker RAW files alongside common text and spreadsheet formats.
- CSV, TXT, TSV, DAT, XY, XYE, RAW, LVM, Excel, WPS ET, ODS, and JSON remain available from the import workflow.
- Large-data rendering uses viewport-aware paths for line and scatter-style charts so common edits stay responsive.
- Table copying preserves raw precision, units, formats, and column metadata more consistently.

The in-app V1.65 notes summarize the reliability pass
The About panel now reflects the V1.65 focus: unified line-width rendering, old-project compatibility, SVG export consistency, data copy fixes, large-data stability, and stronger label hit-testing.
- Axis lines, grid lines, data lines, bar borders, point borders, reference lines, and significance brackets use one visual thickness chain.
- Saved projects and templates migrate older line widths and annotation defaults to the newer visual semantics.
- Data labels, error bars, copy/paste metadata, broken-axis gaps, and PDF/SVG output received another compatibility check.
Also included in V1.65
SVG export is steadier in PowerPoint: common charts can be opened, ungrouped, and edited while keeping text scale, line width, and chart geometry closer to the SmartPlot canvas.
Peak fitting now outputs FWHM, peak height, integrated area, and area percentage tables for easier spectroscopy reporting.
Inset zoom regions can be moved and resized directly on the canvas, and inset data-line visibility can be filtered per series.
Large-data input and plotting paths are improved for tables up to 500,000 rows in the current recommended workflow.
Bruker RAW import is recognized in the import format list alongside CSV, TXT, TSV, DAT, XY, XYE, LVM, Excel, ODS, and JSON.
Stroke-width rendering is unified across axes, grids, data lines, point borders, bar borders, reference lines, significance brackets, legends, and export.
Copy/paste keeps raw numeric precision, units, display formats, and column metadata more consistently.
Data labels, error bars, broken-axis line segmentation, curve fills, templates, and old projects received compatibility fixes for the V1.65 release.
